Eric Knudson, Founder and CEO
Eric Knudson, 18, is a rising freshman at Stanford University, where he intends to study political science or public policy. Eric graduated from the International Baccalaureate Program at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville. During that time, he played for the Varsity tennis team, was certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association, and took workshops with the USTA at the highest possible level for his age. He also is involved politically and enjoys playing piano and singing a cappella.

Jim Liu, Founder and Chairman of the Board
Jim Liu, 18, currently attends Yale University as a business major. He also graduated from the International Baccalaureate Program at Richard Montgomery and is on the Varsity Tennis Team. He has taught hundreds of hours of tennis clinics and camps at a local club over the past three years. In recognition of his coaching abilities, he has received awards from the USTA. Jim earned second chair in clarinet for the East Coast and regularly performs throughout the country. His interests also include football, music, and food. He has leadership positions in Music Honors Society and a peer mentoring group. In the future, Jim hopes to pursue a career in business.
Carson McCallum, Partner and COO
Carson, 16, is a junior in the Communications Arts Magnet Program at Montgomery Blair High School. He has played tennis all his life and plays singles on Blair's Division I Varsity Team. He won second place for number one doubles at the PVAC championship. He is also very active in Young Democrats.
Jasleen Salwan
Jasleen Salwan currently studying studying Community Health at Brown University. At Montgomery Blair High School, she played singles for the division one varsity tennis team all four years and served as co-captain as a senior. Jasleen has enjoyed helping new players on the team improve their skills and is very excited to be a coach for ServeItUp! She is also very active in Youth and Government and Silver Chips Blair's award-winning student newspaper. Jasleen was recently recognized as a national semifinalist in the Intel Science Talent Search.
Jake Rosner, Board Member
Jake played 1st doubles at Richard Montgomery High School, and now attends Northwestern University. He is currently studying Political Science and Sociology. He is committed to making the game fun for players of all ages and experience levels. He currently works on education issues in Montgomery County, plays percussion in the Marching Band and is interested in Music Theory, Spanish, and Political Science. He hopes to pursue a career in education or music composition.
Adrian Wyllie
Adrian Wyllie, 20, is junior at the University of the District of Columbia studying Biology/Pre-medicine. I've been playing tennis for the last 8yrs and currently plays number 3 on my college team. Besides playing, I am also a certified level 1 ITF coach. I am very patient and understanding which are qualities that I think are very effective when coaching young kids. I am involved in various clubs at my institution, most notably the Journal Club through which I am currently doing a research. By becoming part of this organization, not only am I bringing new techniques of coaching, but I am also bringing a passion that will definitely enhanced my/our clients love for the sport. I am pursuing a career in plastic and reconstructive surgery with specialisation in pediatrics.
Priyanka Gokhale
Priyanka Gokhale, 18, currently attends the University of Maryland as a Banneker/Key Scholar. At school, she plays Club Tennis and is majoring in Physiology and Neurobiology. A graduate of Montgomery Blair High School's Magnet program, she played on the Division I Varsity Tennis Team for all four years of high school. She was named the 2006 and 2007 MVP, and served as 2007 captain. Priyanka also has coaching experience at the Bretton Woods Recreation Center's Tennis Camps.
Tiffany Chang
Tiffany Chang, 17, is a rising senior at Montgomery Blair High School's Magnet Program. She has been playing tennis all through high school on her Division I Varsity Girls Tennis team and has been a part of the Montgomery County Tennis Association's Junior Team Tennis leagues. Tiffany also plays lacrosse on her off season and was caption of the Junior Varsity Lacrosse team and played on the Varsity Lacrosse team last season. As one of four children, Tiffany loves being around people and especially enjoys being around fun, enthusiastic children. Tiffany is excited to play tennis and even more excited to teach tennis to ambitious tennis players!
Peggah Khorrami
Peggah Khorrami, 17, is a rising senior in the Communication and Arts Program at Montgomery Blair High School. She has played tennis since childhood and currently plays for Blair's Division I Tennis team. In her spare time, Peggah likes to play violin and volunteer at a local daycare. She loves working with children and teaching them new things. Peggah is very excited to be a part of Serve It Up!
Deepa Chellappa
Deepa Chellappa, 16, is a rising senior at the Montgomery Blair High School magnet program. She has played tennis all her life and currenly plays singles for Blair's Division I varsity tennis team. Deepa has enjoyed sharing her love for tennis with players of all age groups. She has helped coach rising players at several area clubs and is currently a volunteer tennis coach for Special Olympics Montgomery County. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of her school's online newspaper, Silver Chips. Deepa is excited to be a part of the Serve It Up team!
Rohan Agashe
Rohan Agashe, 17, has just graduated from Winston Churchill High School in Potomac. He will attend Carnegie Mellon University in the fall, where he will study Engineering. He has played in many USTA Tournaments and in Montgomery County tournaments. He has played at Bullis Tennis, Cabin John, and Quince Orchard Tennis. Besides tennis, he has participated in many community service activities. He is excited to get others playing tennis!
Florence Lung
Florence Lung is a graduate of Bethesda-Chevy Chase High where she played on the Varsity Tennis team for four years. She played singles and served as team captain this past season. She has been playing since a young age and is a motivating coach for all ages. She will be attending Bates College in the Fall where she plans to continue playing tennis at the club/intramural level.
Shubhanu Bhargava
I am Shubhanu, a rising senior at the Richard Montgomery IB program. I have been playing tennis since I was 12. I have been in the Richard Montgomery Varsity Boys tennis team since 10th grade and played 3rd and 4th singles this season. Tennis is my passion and whether it is watching tennis,reading tennis magazines, caoching people or playing, I love every aspect of this spectacular game. Besides tennis I am part of the RM award winning debate team, and I love swimming, programming and learning more and more about tech.
Daniel Ettehadieh
Graduated 2009 from Poolesville High School. Varsity Tennis team all 4 years- 2 time MVP, captain my senior year. Coached at the Quince Orchard Swim and Tennis Club for the past 4 years. Have been playing tennis for 8 years.
Paul Donnelly
My name is Paul Donnelly. I've been playing tennis since I was 5 years old. I attended Frederick High school and was on the tennis team there were I earned such awards as MVP, sportsmanship awards, and eventually elected captain. I now attend Towson University where I also play tennis. At Towson I am studying to become a history teacher. I have a passion for teaching anything I know whether it be history or tennis or many other things.
Kevin Chai, Board Member
Kevin Chai, 17, is a senior in the International Baccalaureate Program at Richard Montgomery High School. He plays #1 singles for the Richard Montgomery Varsity squad, and was the MVP of the 2007-2008 season, advancing to the semifinals of the county tournament. Kevin has years of USTA tournament experience, and has been ranked as high as 9th in Maryland in the Boy's U18s. He has taught tennis at several clubs, and was the lead junior instructor at Quince Orchard Swim and Tennis Club. Kevin engages in many non-profit endeavors, working with the Montgomery County Recreation Department to create a separate non-profit tennis instruction program. Kevin hopes to pursue a career in business or engineering.
Sarah Monsheimer
Sarah Monsheimer currently plays varsity tennis for the University of Charleston (Division II), where she is a freshman studying Biology. She was the number one singles tennis player at James Hubert Blake High School. She has been playing tennis for 7 years; during that time she developed a strong passion and dedication for the game. She was ranked 17th in the Mid-Atlantic region in 14 and under, and 20th in 16 and under, as well as ranked 355th in the nation in 16 and under. Sarah especially enjoys bringing her skills to the next generation of tennis players.
Jordan Fein
Jordan Fein, 19, is a rising sophomore at Northwestern University, where he is studying Political Science and Economics, and plays on the Division I club tennis team. He won the Maryland State Junior Tennis Championship at 12 and was a competitive Mid tournament player through his freshman year at Montgomery Blair High School. He played on the varsity team at Blair during his last three years of high school, and was MVP his sophomore year and captain his senior year. Jordan has been coaching tennis at the Cedarbrook Club in Kensington, Maryland for two years and continues to think that tennis is the best sport ever. When not playing tennis, he enjoys listening to music, being politically active and thinking about tennis.
My-Linh Nguyen
My-Linh attends Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville. At 17, she is a senior in RM's International Baccalaureate Program. She plays second singles and is junior captain on RM's Varsity Tennis Team. My-Linh currently takes clinics at Bullis and plays in the Baltimore Patrons League. Besides tennis, she is involved in Vietnamese Scouting, takes Kung Fu, and plays piano. In her spare time, My-Linh enjoys listening to music and watching feel-good movies. She's excited to teach tennis and share the awesome game with everyone.
Nitin Sukumar
Nitin has played tennis for Montgomery Blair High School's Varsity Team for three years, most recently as a first doubles player. He is currently attending the University of Maryland at College Park, where he is majoring in finance with pre-medical preparation. He hopes to play club tennis during college along with intramural football and basketball.
Anjie Martin
Anjie plays varsity tennis for Wellesley and previously played with the team at Blake HS.
Sharat Buddhavarapu
Sharat, 17, is a senior at Poolesville high school and plays #1 singles for the Varsity team. He began playing tennis at 5 years old and is now ranked within the top 70 in the mid-atlantic. In 2004, Sharat met John McEnroe at the US Open, where he won a chance to hit a few points with him! He hopes to play professional tournament tennis in the coming years.
Bryan Williams
Bryan is a PTR-certified coach who has competed in USTAs tournaments, high school tennis and club tennis. He has coaching experience from being an assistant coach at Bowie High School, and a club tennis head coach at BSR
in Bowie, MD. Bryan has also attended various coaching workshops sponsored by the USTA and has received certification through them.
Khanita Suvarnasuddhi
My name is Khanita Suvarnasuddhi, I'm 16 years old and I've played varsity tennis for the past three years. I played my first year at Watkins Mill High as third doubles, and that was when I initially started to play tennis and I fell in love with the sport. When Clarksburg High School opened, I played first singles for sophomore and junior year, I was named MVP during the 2006-2007 season and during the winter I play at Bullis with my coach. I also played Co-ed Varsity volleyball during the spring at Clarksburg, and I want to pursue a career as a physical therapist. However, tennis is still my favorite sport and I enjoy playing and teaching tennis when ever I get the chance.
Alex Nazareth
Alex Nazareth, 18, is a freshman at the University of Virginia studying biology. During his time in the International Baccalaureate Program at Richard Montgomery, he played second doubles on the varsity tennis team. He has successfully completed USTA and USTPA courses and plans on getting his USTPA certification shortly. He is an eagle scout and is actively involved in drama, scouting, volunteering at a hospital and tutoring young children.
Amrit Malothra
Amrit is a senior at the Sidwell Friends School. She has been playing junior varsity and varsity tennis since 9th grade. This season, Amrit played number 4 on the school's varsity team. Also, last summer Amrit coached some tennis at the Bretton Woods Camp. In addition to tennis, she enjoys debating, pottery and traveling.
Nick Nolte
My name is Nick Nolte, I am 19 years old and I am a junior at Montgomery College. I have played tennis since high school and I am on the Montgomery College tennis team. I have played matches against two pro-tour tennis players and have recieved personal training from others. I am competing in a satellite match for the next US Open. Other than tennis, I do martial arts and coach soccer. I am currently studying to become a doctor. Tennis is one of my passions and I enjoy every moment of it, its a sport that can be enjoyed and appreciated at any age.
Jessica Kahlenberg
Jessica, 17, is a senior at Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, Maryland. She's played on her Varsity team the last four years and was team captain for the Fall 2007 season. She played the number one singles position her junior year and won the Mixed Doubles State Championship in May 2006. In addition to tennis, Jessica has played on her school's JV Basketball team and Varsity Crew team. She is also the Editor of the online edition of her school newspaper, The Black and White.
